Yummy chicken recipes

This chicken recipe is flavorful, stays hot, and tastes so good with rice or potatoes. The recipe can make four servings. The preparation time for this dish is about 15 minutes and it takes about an hour and twenty minutes to cook this dish. In about an hour and thirty-five minutes, this flavorful dish can be cooked and made ready at ease.

Ingredients required

  • 4 skinless, chicken without bones and take breast halves
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 cup of sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup of unsweetened apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of white sugar
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of butter

    Preparation method

    Preheat an oven to 325 degrees F and also grease and keep a baking dish ready.

    Use a zip lock bag and pound the chicken breast halves-flat and about 1/2 inch thick. The flattened chicken breast has to be cut into several large pieces. Put all the chicken pieces in a plastic bag and add in it flour, pepper, salt, and gently shake the bag to coat the chicken pieces with flour mixture. Use a skillet over medium heat to heat the olive oil and butter. Toss in the chicken pieces and brown them for about 5 minutes per side until they are golden brown. Take care not to char the chicken pieces by over heat.

    Place the chicken pieces into the prepared Baking dish, leaving the remaining butter and oil in the skillet. Toss in the green onions, mushrooms and garlic in the hot skillet and stir for about 10 minutes until juice come out of the mushrooms. When it starts to brown, spread the cooked vegetables over the chicken pieces. Now pour in the apple juice, sugar and lemon juice, stir to dissolve the sugar and bring the mixture to boil. Later pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables, cover the baking dish with a foil, and bake in the preheated oven for about an hour until the sauce is reduced and absorbed the chicken.     General Tips
