Different heating forms are beneficial depending on the particular situation. If the room is large and its ceiling is very high, convective and radiant heating system is recommended. They should be used in combination. If the room is small, the convective heating system is sufficient to warm it up. However, if the rooms are large but there is a draught problem, it is best to use just radiant heating only.

Draughts can be easily avoided by using curtains which are very heavy. The curtains should be made in such a way that air flow is minimized through the gaps located at the sides or top of the window. This is because they will decrease radiant or convection heat loss. The house occupants should put on warm clothes to minimize draught effects. Also, the furniture and fittings should be arranged in a manner that ensures no draught can get into the house.

Choose a heater which best fits the house. Big heaters should be used if the premises are very large. However, such a heater will only be a waste of energy and money if it is installed in a small house. Therefore, go for the right size of the product depending on your home size.
