Chicken and broccoli recipe

Chicken cooked with vegetable is highly nutritious and tasty. This recipe is for cooking chicken and Broccoli by stir- fry and this tempting dish will be a feast to your friends and family members. The preparation time for cooking the dish is about 15 minutes and takes an additional 30 minutes to cook this dish. You can have four serving with this dish.

Ingredients required

  • 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast (cut into pieces of one inch)
  • 2 cups of broccoli florets
  • 1 cup of sliced fresh mushrooms (3 Oz)
  • 1/2 cup of diced red bell pepper
  • 1 cup of hot cooked Chinese plain noodles
  • 1 medium onion, cut into thin wedges
  • 2 teaspoons of cornstarch
  • 1 cup of baby-cut carrot, lengthwise cut in half
  • Chicken broth 1 cup
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • Finely chopped ginger of 2 teaspoons
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar

    Preparation method

    After spraying of oil in a large non-stick skillet, heat it over medium- high heat. Add the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the pan and make them covered with oil by stirring the pieces. Then add the finely chopped ginger root and garlic and stir- fry for another two to three minutes. Fry the chicken pieces until they become golden brown and the color of pinkness vanishes from the chicken pieces. Add the 1/2 cup of chicken broth, carrots, onion, soy sauce and sugar and ensure their bonding. The pan has to be covered and the contents cooked over medium heat for another five minutes and stirred occasionally once or twice. Add mushrooms, bell pepper, Broccoli, and stir, cover and cook for further five minutes. Ensure the chicken is well cooked and the vegetables become crispy and tender. Take a bowl, add the cornstarch, mix in it the 1/4 cup of chicken broth, and stir to make a mixture of them. Pour the mixture in the pan and cook by stirring frequently until the sauce is thickened. Once the cooking is over, remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool. This chicken Broccoli becomes a great combination when served with piping hot Chinese noodles.
