Chicken thighs recipe

Ingredients required

  • 16 chicken thighs
  • 12 Oz plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cumin
  • 4 teaspoons of paprika
  • 2 teaspoons of ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • Olive oil spray

    Preparation method

    Take a medium sized bowl, place the yoghurt, cloves, pepper, ginger, salt, and stir together. Also mix the paprika, cinnamon, garlic, cumin and coriander and keep it aside. After rinsing the chicken in cold water, pat and dry the chicken using paper towels. Keep the chicken in a large reseal able plastic bag and pour the yoghurt mixture over chicken, shake, release the air by pressing and then seal it. Tilt and turn over the bag several times so that the marinade is equally distributed all over. Keeping it in a bowl, refrigerate for about eight hours or overnight and ensure to turn and change the position of the bag occasionally.

    Now Pre heat an outdoor grill for direct medium heat. You need to take out the plastic bag from the Refrigerator, remove the chicken and discard the marinades Use paper towels for wiping away the excess marinades on the chicken. Use the Olive oil spray and spray oil on the chicken thighs. Placing the chicken on the grill, cook for about two minutes. Keep turning on cooking for two more minutes. Keep the chicken to receive indirect heat and cook for another 40minutes for the chicken to have an internal temperature of 180 degrees F. Remove the chicken to a platter and set the dish with finely chopped vegetables and greens to give the dish an appetizing look for your guests.
