Chicken Broccoli Recipe

Chicken Broccoli recipe is the easiest of all chicken dishes. It takes a total of 15 minutes preparation time and 28 to 30 minutes of total cooking time. It yields about 4 to 5 servings. The trick is that you have to marinate your chicken well while you are trying to prepare the other ingredients that are required for cooking. Ingredients list

  • One full skinless and boneless chicken breast that is cut exactly into pieces that are one inch
  • Two cloves of garlic that are finely chopped

  • Onion (1 number) of medium size and should be cut thinly
  • Carrot 1 cup and it should be cut in half (lengthwise)

  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 2 teaspoons
  • Flowerets (Broccoli) - 2 full cups
  • Mushrooms (Fresh) - 3 ounces (1 cup) to be sliced well
  • Pepper (red bell) - should be diced well and take half cup
  • Corn starch - 2 teaspoons
  • If you need you can take plain noodles (Chinese) - 1 cup to be cooked hot

    Preparation Method

    Step 1: Take a skillet that is of non-stick type and spray some cooking spray on it. Keep the heat in medium mode and heat the skillet. Now slowly add the chicken pieces one by one along with fresh ginger root and garlic. Stir fry the mixture and allow it to fry for about two to three minutes or cook until the chicken turns golden brown

    Step 2: Now add carrots, onion, broth (3/4 cup), sugar and the soy sauce. Cover the mixture, cook in a heat that is very medium for about five to six minutes, and stir the mixture twice

    Step 3: Add all the bell pepper, mushrooms and broccoli to the mixture now. Cover it and gently cook the mixture for about five to six minutes. Do not forget to stir the mixture twice or thrice if you need and ensure the chicken is cooked to perfection. It should be crispy and tender

    Step 4: As a final step mix the corn starch with the balance broth (1/4 cup) and now stir this into the mixture of the chicken. Stir frequently and cook until all the sauce is finely thickened.

    Step 5: Serve hot with noodles that you have already cooked.
