If you are planning to use a frozen chicken, then heat in a microwave oven or keep in potted cold water. If you are cooking a packaged chicken, then wash the chicken completely and thoroughly in cold water to remove any bacteria that may be available on the chicken as it was packaged. Sometimes by washing it, you will also be able to remove the bad odor that comes because of the plastic packaging. The chicken pieces should be patted well. After cooking wash your hands thoroughly with a disinfectant as chicken might sometimes have bacteria in it. The chicken surface should always be rubbed with a pinch of olive oil before you are using it for cooking a dish. The reason is the chicken can dry out very easily when baked in an oven, as it is boneless and skinless and have very low fat content. If you are not willing to use olive oil or if you feel it is too costly, you can also substitute it with canola oil or grape seed oil if you wish. Pepper and salt should be sprinkled on the chicken's top instead of applying or simply pouring it. If you want the boneless and skinless chicken a little spicier, then sprinkle chili power, cumin and cayenne pepper or you can also combine the three and sprinkle on the chicken. Before using a baking pan, apply little oil on it for lubrication. The chicken should not stick to the pan you are using for baking it.
