Baked chicken wing recipes

The recipe for making the baked chicken is tailored for you, keeping in mind your needs that may suddenly arise, when friends show up surprisingly. One serving of this dish contains 380 calories, fat, cholesterol, saturated fat, dietary fiber, carbohydrates, sodium and protein. This dish can be used for eight servings. For those of you, who do not like chicken wings, try to remove the tips and the flats.

Ingredients required for making Buffalo sauce

  • Melted unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup of hot pepper sauce
  • Ingredients for preparing Ginger-Soy Glaze
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 3 large garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 2x1' piece of ginger, peeled, sliced
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • Ingredients required for preparation of Wings
  • 5 pounds chicken wings, tips removed, flats separated
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon, freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • Preparation method

    Buffalo Sauce

    Mix butter, black pepper, cayenne pepper and salt in a small bowl and keep it aside for about 5 minutes. Pour in the hot pepper sauce and keep it warm. This can be prepared a week ahead and allowed to completely cool. Only you have to warm it when you use.

    Ginger-Soy Glaze

    Place all the ingredients in a small saucepan and add ¼ cup of water, boil and stir so that the honey is dissolved. Heat to be reduced to low and then stir occasionally to simmer for about 8 minutes until the mix reduces to ¼ cup. Strain the mix in a medium bowl. If you allow it to cool for 15 minutes, it will thicken. This could also be prepared a week ahead and chilled. Only you have to warm it when you use.

    Chicken Wings

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

    Set a wire rack inside each of two large rimmed bake sheets. All the ingredients are to be placed in a large bowl and tossed to coat the chicken wings. Keep the wings between racks and spread out in a single layer. Chicken wings for about 45 minutes to be cooked through until the skin becomes crispy. After lining another rimmed baking sheet with foil, add half of wings to ginger- soy glaze and toss to evenly coat. Place the wings in a single layer on rack and bake for about 10 minutes until the wings become glossy and caramelized lightly. Toss the reaming wings in Buffalo sauce. Serve the chicken wings hot.

    General Tips

    For one serving, you might need at least seven chicken wings. You can also remove the drumettes from the chicken wings if you wish. Need not bake if you are tossing the chicken wings with hot buffalo sauce. About 45 to 50 minutes would be required to cook the chicken wings and it should be crispy. If you are using a wired rack in the oven, you need to divide the chicken wings and spread them out into a single layer.
