Baked chicken leg recipes

This baked chicken leg recipe if one of the recipes that should be mastered by everyone who prefers home cooking rather than take out parcels. For making this dish, minimal amount of ingredients are only required and it can be done so easily and effortlessly even when you are busy at home with other activities. The chicken has to be cooked at an internal temperature of 185 degrees F. It takes about 10 minutes of preparation time and a cooking time of 35 minutes to cook six chicken drumsticks. This is the easiest method of preparing a chicken dish. You have to simply wash the chicken drumsticks, after drying just cover it well with the spices. Ingredients required

  • Six pieces of chicken drumsticks (1½ lbs)
  • Seasoning 7:2:1 or salt and pepper
  • Preparation method

    Preheat the Oven to 425 convection. The drumsticks are to be washed in running water, and cut off any extra skin or fat and then pat and dry them using paper towels. You can add any choice or combination of spices to suit your taste, and each spice is capable of giving its own taste and flavor when added as a seasoning to the drumstick chicken. However, a light sprinkling of 7:2:1 seasoning works out great. If you do not have ready stock of it, mix ½ teaspoon of Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of pepper powder, salt to taste and 12/4 teaspoon of Cayenne. Use a cooking pan lined up with aluminum foil (you need worry about the mess of cleaning the oil in the pan after cooking), and spray it with a heavy spray of PAM oil. Thereafter arrange the chicken drumsticks in the pan, leaving small gaps in between. If you wish, you can also spray very lightly over the chicken drumsticks so that the pieces would be cooked crispy. Cook the drumsticks for 185 plus internal temperature. After about 35 minutes of cooking, leave it to set for about 10 minutes before you serve, as the drumsticks would be so hot.     General tips

    If you love to add coconut milk with the chicken, then add 2 cups thin coconut milk, the green chillies, salt and sugar, if preferred, and simmer over a medium brisk flame until chicken is done. Add thick coconut milk, continue cooking over thin flame for another seven to ten minutes, and then remove from fire. Now you can serve it hot.
